Families with Children from China - Tampa Bay is an organization of adoptive families from the Tampa Bay area who share a common belief that the heritage of our children is precious. The overriding goal of the organization is to be a source of cultural education for our children and one of support and education for parents. In addition, we are committed to charitable endeavors benefitting orphans, children who have been adopted but are in need of assistance and those less fortunate, wherever they may be in this world.

Mission Statement
We are a community of families brought together by the shared experience of adopting children from China. We honor and preserve our children's heritage, celebrate the diverse make-up of our families, and advocate for their respect and acceptance. Through publications, community activities, events, and online resources, we encourage adoption; help families learn about China, Chinese culture and our children's Chinese heritage; cultivate and strengthen our children's pride in their background, heritage, and ethnicity; sponsor programs supporting the needs of our families and assisting our children as they grow to understand their adoption and life journeys; provide assistance to children who remain in China's orphanages; promote awareness of our community, our community's concerns, and Chinese culture to the Tampa Bay area, schools, governmental bodies, Asian American organizations, and other groups; and provide cultural educational materials to schools, libraries and other organizations; while supporting our families as they deal with adoption and transracial adoption issues in their daily lives.
